Marta Valpiani

Marta Valpiani

The “Marta Valpiani” winery, born on the steep slopes of the Bagnolo hill in Castrocaro Terme, is immersed in an uncontaminated landscape where you can see for kilometers among vineyards, woods, olive groves and gullies typical of this area.

“Marta Valpiani” is a family of winemakers respectful of the territory: the care of the land represents the centrality of their daily work, which follows the rules of natural agriculture taking into account the succession of seasons and lunar cycles. They are independent winemakers and cultivate only autochthonous  vines such as Sangiovese, Albana and Trebbiano from which they produce few and precious bottles as well as olive oil.

An offer in the name of authenticity that comes from attention and respect for its territory and its fruits.

Tenuta Pennita

Tenuta Pennita

The “Tenuta Pennita” company is located on the first wonderful hills that dominate the medieval village of Terra del Sole.

Since 2003, Tenuta Pennita has received prizes and awards from all the most important food and wine guides for the high quality of its products and for the production methods in harmony with environment and ecosystems, able to preserve the heritage of the territory and local traditions. Tenuta Pennita is counted among the top 10 Italian producers of high quality extra virgin olive oil.

A peculiarity: the waste products of the processing are transformed to become excellent cosmetics. In the pomace and in the vegetation waters that derive from the processing of olives, there are the best polyphenols; resveratrol is extracted from the must. Both are used to make tonics, cleansing milks and creams for face, body and hair.

His workshop tells a family story, it was founded by his grandfather in 1876 and then passed to his father. Like them, the master luthier Lombardi has created his instruments using mainly local wood, also recycled, confirming the passion and respect not only for a profession but also for the territory, its history and for the nature that gives it the material…ready to play.

Villa Bagnolo

Villa Bagnolo

Villa Bagnolo has a history of dedication, sacrifice, intuition, study and research. The production combines the two souls of the winery, one is innovative, the other one is attentive to tradition.

For the production of Villa Bagnolo’s wines, after harvesting and pressing grapes, the fermentation process takes place by using autochthonous yeasts in special fermenters designed ad hoc and therefore unique in the world. The length of the process varies according to the vintage and the characteristics of the grapes.

The wine destined to a long aging proscess is sent in large oak barrels of 30 hectoliters, according to the Italian tradition. With this process, wines of character, consistent, full in taste and elegant in aroma are obtained.
