All year round - ideal in summer and autumn
Arrival in the morning and check-in.
The farmhouse is an ancient farm of great charm, nestled in the hills of Castrocaro and entirely devoted to certified organic farming: olive trees and lavender. It has a small restaurant, a large vegetable garden and an orchard (serving the farmhouse), an olive grove for the production of an unmistakable organic extra virgin olive oil, a lavender cultivation from which a fragrant organic essential oil and a regenerating aromatic water are extracted. Many varieties of aromatic and medicinal plants, in particular rosemary.
Tasting of organic extra virgin olive oil and illustration of olive cultivation and pruning with practical trials.
Lunch at the farmhouse with seasonal proposals.
Guided tour of the imposing Fortress of Castrocaro Terme (11th-14th century), one of the most interesting examples of medieval fortified architecture: proudly erected on a rocky spur, it stands as evidence of considerable architectural, historical and cultural value. We visit the Palazzo del Castellano, which houses the town’s historical and archaeological museum, the Medicean Arsenals, and the internal courtyard with its panoramic terrace overlooking the surrounding area.
Dinner is served at the farmhouse based on traditional local recipes, mainly using organic products from the vegetable garden and orchard.
Experience in the company with the opportunity to explore the lavender field and the processes of processing and distillation of essential oil. Olfactory workshop and, to top it off, a relaxing hydromassage bath with aromatic lavander water.
